Poem by Robert Frost with additional lyrics by Belinda Derksen.
Natural bird sounds from St.Norbert, Winnipeg, MB.
lyrics
I have wished a bird would fly away
And not sing by my house all day
I have clapped my hands at him from the door
When it seemed I couldn't bear it anymore.
The fault must have partly been in me.
The bird was not to blame for his key.
And of course there must be something wrong
In wanting to silence his song.
Fly away little bird fly far
Take your tune away from this empty heart
Take your songs, take them far from me
Leave me as my truth lies in the dark
